The Coming Revolution

I have said for 15 years that the next American Revolution or Civil War will be started by the Left.  Today, more than ever, that belief has solidified and is fast becoming apparent.  I will go further and say this, February of 2012: In my opinion, the next elected President will either be George Washington or Joseph Stalin.  In surveying the field of candidates at this point, I see no George Washington.  However, “Joe” could already be in office and consolidating his power.

The Bolsheviks are inside the gates and the near objective is the death of “capitalism”.  Occupy Wall Streeter’s (OWS) are chanting for the death of capitalism.  (Heck, they’re chanting for the deaths of CEO’s, cops, and tea partiers, with some of them advocating the return of the guillotine.)  However, history proved the Bolsheviks to be mere pawns in the eventuality of Stalin’s rise to power against even Lenin’s wishes.  Although Lenin was a Marxist Bolshevik, he was not the authoritarian figure that Stalin sought to be and became after Lenin’s health declined.

Collectivism

There is an ideology that has been around in America for a long time now, but has never had the momentum and support from our institutions that it currently enjoys. That ideology is collectivism. It has existed in varying degrees around the world in political movements like socialism, communism, and fascism.  In its mild form it opposes capitalism, seeks to redistribute wealth, limit private property ownership, all through government regulation.    (“Social Justice” is another term that is frequently used by collectivists.) This is “social democracy”.  We are becoming very close to that now, if not already there.

Collectivism always puts the group needs before the needs/rights of the individual.  The ultimate in a secular collectivist society is Communism, where the government owns or controls everything from food production to education.  It manages information flow through news media, the arts, and academia.  The duty of each citizen is to the state. The natural result of this philosophy is the weak perish, and the middle class disappears. The ultimate goal of total equality is nearly met, and for all the rhetoric of “social justice”, well…everyone lives in poverty except the ruling elite.

Islam is another collectivist society in which the rights/needs of the individual are not important, but demands each citizen serve the collective in order to maintain it. The only practical difference between Islam and Communism is that Islam is a Theocracy, in which all aspects of life and society are controlled by the ideology, dispensed upon the collective, by the collective, if a theocratic government is not available. In Islam, once again, the ideal governmental system is a Theocracy in which the authoritarian government is Islam. Again, the middle class is virtually none existent, while the ruling elite prosper.

America, conversely, was never set up to be collectivist in its ideology.  The founding documents, The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were designed to protect the rights of the individual from the state.  The stark difference from America and the rest of the world is that our Declaration points out that “all men are created equal” and are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,–That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers  in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” [Emphasis added]

See, America was never intended to be a “Top Down” authoritarian government. It is not a Democracy, where the mob rules, but a Representative Republic, governed by law instituted by the People, and Representatives of their own choosing.  In the words of Lincoln, “government of the People, by the People, and for the People.”

America has always been about the Liberty of Mankind to choose his own destiny, his responsibility to his God, and his duty to preserve these things for his descendants and his fellow citizens.  It has proven that the success of the collective depends upon the liberty of the individual. When the individual is allowed to prosper and flourish, the community prospers together.  That was the difference between the early Colonies of Jamestown and Plymouth. Jamestown had been a “collectivist” or communal endeavor in which all property was held in common and all needs came from the common purse, or storehouse.  This leads to the “freeloaders” who contribute little or nothing and consume as much as everyone else. Jamestown died.  Plymouth began as such but William Bradford recognized the flawed system and allotted a parcel of land to each family to provide for their own needs and any surplus could be sold or given to a neighbor.  Capitalism.

It is commonly misunderstood among the OWS crowd and many average Americans, that charity is squelched by capitalism.  Quite the contrary, capitalism begets charity, especially when the prosperous citizen believes in his Creator and therefore has a sense of duty to his fellow man which always results in a higher rate of contribution to community than an over reaching government taking from the prosperous and “redistributing the wealth” (as Mr. Obama would say) because the government requires its cut for inefficient administrative bureaucracy.

An authoritarian government can never create a benevolent citizenry.  It can only dispossess its citizens to meet its own needs.  A benevolent citizenry is created by allowing that society to prosper from within, to the point of plenty, when then by the dictates of conscience, not government, each person may choose charity, thereby raising the standard of living for all.  William Bradford proved it out.

The argument could easily be made that “Godless Capitalism” is evil.  I would not disagree; but would remind you that “Godless anything” is evil, including Godless Government, Godless Politicians, Godless Education, Godless Finance, and Godless Media.  But the striking thing here is this: Those who are decrying the evils of “Godless Capitalism” are of the very persuasion that ejected God from our institutions!!

Revolution Requires Chaos

If you haven’t picked up Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” by now, you simply must read it, although it will nearly be a review of the last 3 years.  Professor Barack Obama, our Chief Community Organizer taught Alinsky’s methods to his students.  Alinsky’s fundamental premise is found on page 116, “The first step in community organization is community disorganization. The disruption of the present organization is the first step towards community organization.”  He then advises the organizer, When you are labeled an “an agitator, they are completely correct, for that is, in one word, your function—to agitate to the point of conflict.”(p. 117)

Alinsky only left out one piece of the puzzle. What to do with what you break.  Breaking the targeted system is easy; rebuilding something that is productive isn’t.  But his acknowledgment at the beginning of the book should have given us a clue.  To: “…the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom—Lucifer.”

Speaking of Amahdinejad, the President of Iran has agreed with Alinsky that chaos is the way to get things done and he plans to instigate enough chaos to wake up the 12th Imam, so that Islam can enter its global glory.  Striking similarities here, if you ask me.

America stands at the most pivotal point in her history since the Kansas-Nebraska Act (which resulted in the Civil War).  We are polarized.  We are factionalized.  Our history has been rewritten to minimalize the importance of our Judeo-Christian foundation. Our institutions have been purged of morality that comes from that foundation. Our language is adulterated with vulgarities which are most commonplace in our youth.  Our youth have been hijacked by powers that redefine what family is and strip them of any faith in God that was instilled as a child, and replaced with a collectivist philosophy, “from each according to ability, to each according to need”. That’s Karl Marx, by the way.  It’s also most of the leadership in the current American Democrat Party, unions, our education system, and the media.

Chaos? I fear there will be more than anyone wants to see very soon.

Yes, Mr. Obama, I believe you have “fundamentally transformed America”. Made good on that campaign promise, “yes you did”, but you can’t take all the credit yourself. It’s been in the works for a long time.

The Historic lesson?  Collectivist revolutions always take you farther than you want to go.

The Spiritual lesson?  Godless revolutions always lead straight to Hell….

Pamela Geller Under Attack

Once again I find it necessary to include an article that I have not written on this site. Pamela Geller is one of the foremost voices educating America of the impending dangers of Islamization throught her blog AtlasShrugs.com which I have listed on my blogroll since the inception of this site.

This letter comes from another great voice for America, David Horowitz.

A woman of extraordinary courage and vision is under attack.

Pamela Geller, who was awarded last year by the Freedom Center for her courage in the war against tyranny, is the target of a $10 million intimidation lawsuit designed to silence, once and for all, one of America’s most vibrant voices speaking out in defense of the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people.

And it’s all because she rushed to the defense of a young girl in fear for her life.

In July 2009, a seventeen-year-old girl named Rifqa Bary ran away from her home in Ohio, saying that her father threatened to kill her upon discovering that she had converted from Islam to Christianity. There followed a bitter custody battle: Rifqa fought hard to stay out of her parents’ home while the Islamic supremacists such as the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) did all they could to force her to go back. Due in large part to Pamela Geller’s efforts, the Islamic supremacists lost, and Rifqa remained free and able to exercise her freedom of conscience. But now the losers are determined to exact revenge upon the freedom fighter who protected Rifqa from harm.

Omar Tarazi, the lawyer for the parents of Rifqa Bary, is suing Pamela for ten million dollars for libel, for things she wrote in good faith about the case at her acclaimed and award-winning blog AtlasShrugs.com. The great lawyer David Yerushalmi is representing Pamela Geller in this frivolous lawsuit, and he is generously donating his time and expertise pro bono. Nonetheless, Pamela’s ancillary legal expenses relating to this suit are spiraling. The Freedom Center has offered to help raise the funds needed for her legal defense. That means we need to raise a minimum of $30,000 in the next 48 hours to cover the first set of legal fees. Will you help us?

The Left and its Islamic supremacist allies are waging a full-throttle campaign against the freedom of speech. This campaign takes many forms: obscene and unfounded charges of “Islamophobia” and “hate speech,” demonization and character assassination in the mainstream media, and — in this case — legal intimidation. The objective is always the same: to silence activists like Pamela Geller who dare to tell the truth about the Islamic threat to the West. This push will only become stronger now in the aftermath of the tragedy in Norway, for which Pamela has been unfairly blamed. She will continue to fight for justice and human rights in the court of public opinion and in the actual courtroom where this outrageous lawfare attack is being mounted.

Elisabeth Wolff and Defending Free Speech

ACT! for America was founded by Brigitte Gabriel, a Lebanese Christian who experienced first hand the terror of Islamic Fundamentalism. She is a well known speaker and author, her latest book “They Must be Stopped” is available on the ACT! for America website. On the website you can sign up for daily email updates that keep up with current movements of Sharia and the Islamic global movement.

It was on a recent email update that I learned of Elisabeth Wolff, an Austrian woman which is basically doing the same thing I do; teach as many people as I can about Islamic Fundamentalism and the dangers thereof. Although I have not contributed nearly as much as Elisabeth I still feel a kinship and loyalty to a “fellow soldier”.

Elisabeth Wolff is a speaker and contributing writer to “Gates of Vienna”, a website that is on my blogroll. She has become the subject of prosecution by her government for “Hate Speech” because she teaches the truth about Islam and Sharia Law. Her story caught my attention and I could not ignore her plight. If America continues on the current path of self destruction, I too may experience what Elisabeth is feeling.

Turkish Connection II

Based outside Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, Fethullah Gulen has established numerous institutes and forums around the United States. The Fethullah Gulen Community (FGC) is very active in Turkey and the United States as well as many other countries. He is listed by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre as number 13 of 500 of the world’s most influential Muslims.  If you do a Google search on him, you get well over a million results.

Gulen is the driving force behind Turkey’s “Justice and Development Party (AKP) which is transforming society and politics in Turkey at this very minute.  Both current Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tyyip Erdogen and President Abdullah Gul, a former Welfare Party member, are AKP members of which Erdogen is the chairman.  The AKP succeeded the Islamic Welfare Party (RP) which was broken up and banned by the government in 1998 for violating the constitution’s secularism principles. That’s when Fethullah fled to the US. He seems to have more power than ever now that AKP has become the elected majority party in Parliament  in 2007.

The Turkish military has always been used as the tempering factor in preserving the secularization of the government.  In February of 2010, forty nine officers were arrested on allegation of plotting a coup against the government. These included top brass, both retired and active duty generals and admirals, and other high level commanders. They were accused of planning to bomb historic mosques in Istanbul and shoot down its own planes in order to justify the coup, as laid out in a 5,000 page memo produced by their accusers.

When Soner Cagaptay, author and Director of the Turkish Research Program at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, asked a former U.S. ambassador to Turkey for his views on this news, the ambassador thought the scenario was ridiculous. (See Cagaptays article at Foreign Policy magazine) It has become unpopular if not dangerous to verbalize opposition to the AKP or Fethullah Gulen in Turkey.

A BBC News website article about this “Ergenekon” conspiracy quotes Turkish news investigator Irfan Bozan for NTV News channel out of Istanbul as saying, “I think the government moved now to dirty these people’s names and reputations. It’s a warning that they’re under watch.” Bozan believes this is an attack on those who are anti-government.

Back in the United States, Gulen seems to be as available to high level American political and civic leaders as they are to him.  The Gulen Institute, Institute of Interfaith Dialog, Turquoise Center, and more locally the Raindrop Turkish Houses, along with others either directly or indirectly affiliated with Gulen have, as their apparent mission, to seek out leadership positions and officials at all levels of government and shape bonds of friendship and trust by providing a myriad of social functions from breakfasts to award dinners, to summit meeting with dignitaries and civil servants alike. One of the frequent provisions to these folks is the all expense paid trip to Turkey for the official and family members for a vacation of a lifetime. Some elected Kansas legislators recently returned from one such junket.

On the world stage, the Institute has hosted many high profile names such as James Baker, Kofi Annan, Madeline Albright, and received praise from Bill and Hillary Clinton, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and others.

FGC built and runs hundreds of schools and seven universities around the world. Just one phalanx of what is known as “education jihad”, these schools mainly focus on secondary and college level students, imposing and inciting discipline and good social order, (that’s all good, but…) all the while extolling the virtues of the Islamic religion. This is a calculated effort and will indeed have huge effects on American culture and society in a generation or two. There are currently 130 such schools inside the United States.

As one peruses the websites of the many FGC organizations, a few familiar phrases begin to surface. (Much like the new media these days seem to capture and repeat the same phrase or word such as “gravitas” over and over again.) I have heard these same phrases begin to emerge in just the last two or three years.

For example, “Social justice” is a phrase that began to get a lot of ‘speak’ leading up to and during the last Presidential election cycle and has been used by progressives since Woodrow Wilson. It is an ideology which has infiltrated American institutions from the schoolhouse to the church to the media. “Social justice” is one of the core values of Fethullah Gulen’s “Turkish Movement”. Stands to reason as this is one of the key principles of Islam. In case you’ve been living in the trunk of a Hemlock tree, “social justice” translates as “income and/or property redistribution”. How about that for a revelation? Now you know why Muslim’s vote Democrat.

Another phrase that is used continuously is “Interfaith Dialogue”. This one began to get air during the Bush administration post 9-1-1. In 2002 the Institute of Interfaith Dialog was established by Turkish Americans to “eliminate or reduce false stereotypes, prejudices and unjustified fears through direct human communication. Toward these goals the Institute organizes academic and grass roots activities such as conferences, panels, symposia, interfaith family dinners and cultural exchange trips. Many participants of the Institute’s activities are inspired by the discourse and pioneering dialogue initiatives of the Turkish Muslim scholar, writer and educator Fethullah Gulen.  Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute has branch offices in five states and representatives throughout the South-Central United States.” (direct quote from IID website)

I have realized that this phrase “interfaith dialog” almost always translates, “Christians and Jews must accept the fact that Islam is the superior faith”.

Defining the Narrative

“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

Who said it? The quote has been attributed to several including Malcolm X, Ginger Rogers, British journalist Alex Hamilton (not to be confused with the American founder) and Martin Luther King. I would have thought perhaps Will Rogers might have quipped such a wry statement, and it has even made its place into a country music song recently.  But while the sentiment is common and these folks among others have used it in one form or another, it first came into the public record in the chambers of the United States Senate in 1947.  Asking God to give direction to America’s leaders, Senate Chaplain Peter Marshall prayed, “Give us clear vision that we may know where to stand and what to stand for – because unless we stand for something, we shall fall for anything.”

The Chaplain was obviously making reference to Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” and a post-war American culture becoming increasingly influenced through academia, media, and politics manipulated by Humanists and Agnostics. The agnostic believes that there are no absolutes, and therefore can’t say whether God exists or not; The Humanist believes he is god.

The Humanist Manifesto dedicated in 1933, defined Humanism as a religion of the brotherhood of humanity to end all theistic religions; those which revere a superior deity or deities. This document came on the heels of the 1925 Scopes “Monkey Trial” which was basically an “O.J SimpsonTrial” broadcast live on radio (the first ever) and brought to America by the ACLU in hopes of driving a wedge between “science and the Bible”, therefore delegitimizing Bible based Judeo-Christian beliefs. Long story short, ACLU had its way even though they lost legally.

Darwinian Evolution consequently got another foothold on society, the greatest since the initial publication of his book “Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or The Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life”, (that is the full title) in 1859. (The release of which gave “scientific” credence to the argument by many that the black race was inferior, therefore attempting to justify slavery of the African people. Such is the problem with evolutionary thought; throughout history evolutionary theories have been used to justify many forms of racism resulting in atrocities from slavery to genocide. Evolution by necessity will always dehumanize or subjugate some race or culture. Think about it.)

The Cold War was beginning to heat up in the late ‘40’s and Communism was on the march in Europe and Asia, along with its atheistic ideology. In an effort to thwart Communism within our borders and to re-iterate America as “God fearing”, the words “under God” were added to our Pledge to the Flag in 1954.

The “vision” continued to become more clouded, if not lost, throughout the ‘60’s after Marxist revolutionaries took Cuba and began to infiltrate Universities across the United States. By 1973, the Humanists were no longer satisfied with the original ‘manifesto’ and revised it, stripping the religious nature of Humanism from the old document and redefining the movement’s goal of “a system of world law and a world order based upon transnational federal government. This would appreciate cultural pluralism and diversity”. [Humanist Manifesto II, Section 12] It goes on to promote open borders, environmental controls, redistribution of wealth, and actually closes out reading much like John Lennon’s “Imagine”, released only two years prior.  Aside from the added tenets and the much longer list of signers, the most revealing stroke in my opinion, was the “secularizing” of humanism; that is stripping away the many references to “religious humanism” found in the original document.

Secular Humanism has been the driving force for the last 40-50 years that has resulted in the spiritual retardation of American culture. By pushing Judeo-Christian ideology to the margins of society, the Bible is removed as the basis for ethics, laws, and morals.  Secularization has made possible Pluralism, which basically says that no ideology, philosophy or faith belief system is of higher social value than any other. All are equal and must not only be tolerated, but embraced. This is the last great virtue of a secular society. Tolerance- Which brings us back to the opening quote that I would modify to say:

“By attempting to embrace everything, you can hold onto nothing.”

This is where history finds us, America. Amidst a culture which cannot define itself, lacking a foundation to stand upon, and floating aimlessly in a sea of political correctness fed by the river of pluralism. We don’t know our own narrative.  Could this be the reason that no one in the media, academia, or government can say definitively that America is in a fight for survival? Is it possible that this 40 year drunken binge on “pluralism” has inhibited our ability to see the enemy when he is standing before us, smiling that sinister grin with one hand extended and the other holding a sword?

Second Timothy chapter 3 speaks of “perilous times” when all manner of spiritual and societal ills are magnified and people are “lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth…men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.”

This is why we cannot identify the religion of Islam as a detriment to American culture.  We don’t know who we are! We are reprobate concerning our faith and our heritage. And although you don’t have to be a Christian to be a patriotic American, those Judeo-Christian principles were the foundation that the Fathers built upon making possible the forging of this country, and are as much a part of American culture as the Declaration,  baseball, and the Statue of Liberty.

We deny the power of the Christian “religion”, so how could we expect to recognize the power of another religion? We have relegated “religion” as a crutch for the weak and soft headed. No wonder we cannot accept the fact that a “jihadist” is wholly committed, body and spirit, to the advancement of his own religious ideals. If Christians were as committed to our cause and principles as Islamic jihadists are to theirs, we wouldn’t have to worry that Shari’a law may be coming to a town near you. (And I do not mean Christians should become suicide bombers! I simply mean be willing to invest your whole being into the Great Commission and walk the walk, not just drop a buck or two in the plate on Sunday.)

Someone said, “If you don’t know where you’ve been you cannot know where you are. And if you don’t know where you are you cannot know where you are going.”  I fear America has sold her soul. Not only our spiritual heritage which I deem as most important, but our national heritage has been wrested from us and revised to tarnish our heroes and motives. America’s pride has been taken and she no longer holds her chin up, facing the challenge. History has ceased to be taught in a manner that children can relate and replaced with social programming in order to create global citizens. No wonder we don’t know who we are. Little wonder a militant Muslim in Lawrence, Ks told a business owner, “We can take America because it’s the land of boys with no testicles”. He actually believes it.

I would echo Chaplain Marshall’s prayer for a vision:  A vision that would show us where to stand and what to stand for, because if we fail to take that stand, we shall fall for anything; and for nothing.
