John Guandolo enters the musical world with this song that he wrote a few years ago and just released for 9/11/11. I have included a few photos for a memorial experience. If you would like to download John’s song visit this link. I think you will be moved by it.

Flight 93 Memorial Mosque
While America groggily arises from the slumber of Islamic ignorance, mosques are springing up nationwide. And although the Cordoba House Islamic Center (commonly known as the Ground Zero Mosque or GZM) in Lower Manhattan very near WTC has recently been the focal point of media pundits left and right across the networks and airwaves, the quiet steady work of “dawa” continues across America. It’s nothing new in context of the 24/7 news cycle, but when you consider the history of the United States, established 1776 by declaration, this phenomena of “dawa” is fairly young. In fact, when you take into account that prior to 1900 there was not a single designated mosque in the United States, it is startling to discover the oldest standing mosque in America was built in 1934 in, of all places, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
For the Western mind, “dawa” is somewhat the Islamic version of “missions”. It includes everything from active proselytizing to building schools, cultural centers, hospitals, and universities. It seems very benign at the onset, and every Western Culture in the world has permitted it openly. If Islam were simply another religious option in the realm of world religions, as looked upon by most societies, there would be no harm in allowing Islam to compete in the arena of theological discussion and philosophy. To our detriment, this has been the attitude of a pluralistic American psyche. Islam cannot be considered or classified as simply a “religion”. It is a socio-political ideology with a religious element.
When Islam penetrates a culture, it has no intention of co-existence. The purpose is to remake the entire host society in the image of Islam. Therefore, the comparison to “missionary work” is quite insufficient to capture the overall objective. More accurately, the term “Colonization” seems to encompass the goals of Islam. The goal, as established in Islam itself, through its founding documents (Koran and Hadith) is world domination by Islam, and nothing less. Islam works toward this goal through various methods including jihad, colonization, infiltration and subversion, propaganda, litigation, politics, education, business, and the list goes on. While the West has its eye on the “Jihad Machine” and the “Terror Network”, the real work of “dawa” is taking and securing ground quietly and with little or no opposition. In this way, terrorism is a strategic diversion, allowing the complacent and complicit media to “reveal” a markedly stark contrast in the methods of “moderate” Islam.
In 1994 there were only about 500,000 Muslims attending Mosque in America. Today there are approximately 3 million [this is a conservative figure, some estimates are higher]. In 2000, just prior to the 911 attacks, there were about 1200 mosques in the United States and most of those had been built in the 1990’s. Today there are 3000 at best estimate, with many under construction. The GZM will make about twenty on Manhattan Island alone.
The Islamic Revolution of 1979 marked the beginning of the “Third Jihad”, a revival of Islamic Fundamentalism lamented for by Seyyid Qutb in his book “Milestones”, which exploded onto the world scene with the attacks on American Embassies in Pakistan and Iran (Iran Hostage Crisis) and the seizure of the Grand Mosque at Mecca by Wahabbi rebels, which were not to be outdone by the following Lebanese civil war, the assassination of Anwar Sadat, as well as uprisings and rioting throughout the Islamic world.
November 20, 1979 was the 1st of Muharram the year 1400 on the Islamic calendar. This new century, the 15th, is to be the Islamic Century, when Islam finally subdues the entire Earth. We are now 31 years into that century. One virtue you have to acknowledge of Islam; it is very patient. And it appears to be running on schedule.
In this age of instant global communication and information, it is virtually impossible to militarily invade the enemy and subdue him by the sword as was done during the 1st Century of Islam (620-720AD). The United States in particular is too strong militarily for that tactic to work, but our soft underbelly is our open and free society, and this is where Islam has struck. Couple this with our own willingness to shrug off our own spiritual heritage of Judeo-Christian origin, and two to three generations of Americans have no identifiable foundation to base our own worldview upon, while accepting every vain philosophy and belief system as at least equal, if not superior, to our own.
Regardless, every once in a while something like the Cordoba Initiative (GZM) awakens us momentarily and we groggily protest and may even come to our feet in opposition and shout, “That’s just wrong!”… but for the life us, we can’t remember why. And if we could remember why it’s wrong, we can’t say exactly what the “right” thing is.
So while the debate rages on over the Cordoba Initiative at Park 51, the National Park Service carries out the planned design for the massive Crescent Memorial being built in the field at Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This huge crescent, composed of carefully selected trees (most look like Maple which will be fiery red in the Fall) and shrubbery, will be about a half mile across at the open end of which is the crash site of Flight 93, the fourth plane hijacked on 911 that was crashed during an on board battle between American passengers unwilling to allow themselves to be used to destroy more American lives and landmarks, and their Muslim adversaries who had slashed the throats of flight attendants and the pilots, intending to destroy either the White House or the US Capital. The orientation of this crescent design is pointed almost exactly to “Qibla”, the shortest direction to Mecca, and seems to create a huge “mihrab”, the rounded out niche indicating qibla in many mosques around the world.
In addition, amid another interlocking series of arbor crescents, there is a 93 feet high tower (also crescent shaped) from which is suspended forty large tubes which act as wind chimes, emitting low, never ending moans. Forty is the number of passengers and crew on board, which are buried here. I surmise these forty souls must never know peace and quiet, perhaps because they are infidels languishing in hell.
Another note of interest: The crash site and memorial wall are located at the place between the points of the crescent where the star would be located on some Islamic flags. Another victory mosque, designed, built, and funded by the victims own countrymen?
Oh, there have been some modifications to be sure: most notably another, shorter, semi-circle of trees adjacent to and facing the open end of the crescent but not closing it into a circle. And the name has been changed from the “Crescent of Embrace” to the “Circle of Embrace”. This design was selected out of one thousand entries nominated for this project, and was created by Paul and Milena Murdoch, architects from Los Angeles. Paul Murdoch was quoted as saying of the “Crescent of Embrace”, it is “to be a gesture of healing and bonding.” One of the benefactors who funded the design competition was Heinz Foundations (Theresa Heinz, married to John Kerry).
The tragedy of 911 will forever live in the minds of those of us who, via live television feed, witnessed the second plane smash into the second tower at WTC, then in horror watched the people jump to their deaths rather than burn alive. We will forever replay the sequence of the crumbling towers disintegrating upon people and buildings, turning Lower Manhattan into a surreal moonscape of gray images of devastation as the cloud of dust and debris enveloped everything and everyone in its path like a famished demon creature from hell. The unspeakable helplessness consumed everyone who saw it. The compassion felt for those who lost family members on that day, not only at Ground Zero, but at the Pentagon and on Flight 93, lingers yet. The day saw American blood soaked into American soil on a scale not seen since the American Civil War. We were all stunned.
Now, as we approach the 9th anniversary of that dreadful day, we remember those who died and reflect upon our fellow citizens who committed selfless acts of bravery, duty, and compassion for their fellow man. We consider those military personnel who willingly put themselves in the line of fire in service to our country, seeking justice for those innocents who perished at the hands of the 19 Sons of Hell on September 11.
On September 11, 2011, the “Circle of Embrace”, formerly known as the “Crescent of Embrace” will be dedicated. Not a single thing has been altered from the original basic design, just a few additions to try and placate the “protesters” by disguising it.
A new name, add some trees here and there, it’s still the crescent. The symbol of Islam. The Moon; according to the Bible, the Ruler of the Darkness (Genesis 1:16-17).
I am feeling ill…
Post Script: Author Alec Rawls has written a book entitled “Crescent of Betrayal” and is on my blogroll listing as “ErrorTheory”. Alec has done a tremendous amount of research on this memorial and I recommend my readers to visit his site and get the book. He also placed an ad in the Somerset Daily American in which he diagrams the entire memorial site, detailing all the “coincidences” the memorial happens to contain that seem to memorialize Islam and the terrorists on board the plane. (Most of the memorial information can also be verified on the NPS website and Wikipedia.)
Post Post Script: Alec has asked me to post related material concerning this Memorial. I have added a page that will be designated for these and any other postings not written by “Defining the Narrative”. Please visit the page by clicking the “Crescent Memorial: Flight 93 Page” on the right sidebar. There are videos and more on that page posted by Alec.

Note: This will be too lengthy a study to develop in one post, so I will break it up a bit into more digestible portions. This is the first in a three part series entitled “Turkish Connection”. When finished with this post be sure to read II and III.
Will Turkey Replace Israel as America’s Chief Ally in the Middle East?
The evidence confirming that possibility is becoming too great to ignore and I intend to expound upon it from a couple of different approaches.
After several months of hinting to Israel that the newest American administration may not be so supportive of the Jewish State, recent weeks have clarified that point with stark contrast to previous administrations going all the way back to Harry Truman and the declaration of Israel’s independence in 1948.
President Obama and his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, along with Joe Biden, James Baker and others in the Cabinet, have made it clear that Israel can no longer depend on the backing of the US Government.
The Left in the United States has long been known for its anti-Israel sentiment, even to the point of parroting “Palestinian” propaganda demonizing the Israeli response to repeated terrorist attacks upon civilians in schools, café’s , buses, and nightclubs not to mention random “potshots” by Palestinian rockets numbering in the thousands before Israel finally responded. The standard sentiment in the media is ‘Jews are fair game but Israel is not allowed to respond’. The Jewish State of Israel has become the “redheaded stepchild” of the West, and world leaders are loathe to utter a sincere sympathetic statement or any such moral support on her behalf.
The “Palestinian problem” is now Israel’s to solve unilaterally. The problem is not Israel’s handling of the situation. Nothing she does will be acceptable. The problem is this. Israel exists.
This sentiment is exhibited by most of Europe, South America, Africa, and all of Islam. Never mind the historical fact that the “Palestinians” were mostly Jordanian or Egyptian citizens prior to the invasion of Israel by five surrounding Arab states the day after she proclaimed independence. The UN Partition Plan would have forged two states; one Jewish, the other Arab. The Jews agreed. The Arabs did not and vowed to “drive the Jews into the Sea.” The only real change is where the lines are, and that only the result of Israel’s own security provisions.
That Partition Plan of 1947 was the result of much discussion, planning and compromise which characterized the expiration of the British Mandate issued by The League of Nations back in 1922 after the breakup of the 600 year old Ottoman Empire at the end of World War One. The Mandate charged Britain with governance of the territories from the Mediterenean Sea to Mesopotamia which included Palestine, Transjordan, and modern Iraq. It also reinforced the Balfour Declaration of 1917 citing Palestine or a portion thereof to become recognized as a future Jewish State. By the end of WW2 the Jews were more than glad to relocate to their ancient homeland of King David where Israel and Judah had prospered two millennia prior. The Jewish Diaspora expired.
The Ottoman Empire had been the seat of the Islamic Caliphate for 400 years. After the Ottoman’s (Sunni Muslim) conquered the Fatimid Dynasty (Shia Muslim) beginning in the 14th century and reaching its own zenith in the 16th century, Sunni Islam became the dominant school of theology, pushing Shiism into small pockets and containing it to Persia (Iran) where it continues to be dominant. The Ottoman Empire, allied with Germany, came to a close after the end of World War 1 when Great Britain was successful in driving the Turks from Palestine, Transjordan, Syria and most of the Arabian Penninsula., with the help of the Arab tribes who were loosely unified by Sir Thomas Edward Lawrence.
With the demise of the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish Revolution, a new Republic of Turkey was established and under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the Caliphate was abolished and a new secularized government began to develop a prosperous economic and political player on the world stage. Turkey managed to remain neutral during most of WW2, finally joining the Allies in 1945. The new Eurasian country became a strategic ally to the United States and Europe during the Cold War and has maintained good relations with the West for the most part since its inception.
Many have extolled the success of Turkey as a model for the Islamic world to emulate, successfully balancing an Islamic culture with a modern secularized government. It has, thus far, been the most Westernized Islamic country in the region.
However, a recent movement is afoot in Turkey to Islamize the government. This is not, for the most part, a radical militant movement such as Al-Qaida or Hamas, but a more subtle movement that is better served by maintaining a peaceful appearance and a smile, extending the hand of friendship and unity while educating the opponent and his children. This movement has a leader who has opposed a secular government in Turkey since the 1960’s and was arrested by the Turkish authorities in ’71 for “clandestine religious activities” after which he was harassed occasionally. He has met with Pope John Paul II, Greek Orthodox and other Christian leaders, as well as Jewish Rabbi’s in an effort to moderate, and “build bridges” between Islam and the West.
Fethullah Gulen, a Sunni Imam, has become a major figure in the United States since his ‘migration’ here in 1998, reportedly to seek treatment for diabetes. According to Rachel Sharon-Krespin writing for Middle East Quarterly, his “absence also enabled Gülen to escape questioning on his indictment in 2000 for allegedly promoting insurrection in Turkey in a series of secretly-recorded sermons.” It is also reported that although he has not lived in Turkey for the past 12 years, he has had tremendous influence there to the point of “Islamizing” the Turkish government, so much so that all government employees are Muslim. So much for secular government in Turkey…More on that…
